Tooth Coloured Fillings and Extraction

Tooth Coloured Fillings:

Here at Toombul Smiles we use tooth-coloured (composite resin) fillings which offers better aesthetics, stronger seal and requires less tooth cutting. We are a completely metal and amalgam dentist North Brisbane practice.

From Clayfield to Nundah, North Lakes to Chermside, Toombul Smiles can assist with all dental fillings being centrally located in North Brisbane at Toombul shopping centre.

What to expect when receiving a filling:

No need to be hesitant when booking a filling with us. We want to make sure you are ready and aware of what to expect for the procedure. When you visit our dentist office for a filling, the procedure will involve numbing the infected area with local anaesthesia.

The dentist will then remove the tooth decay and replace the decayed tooth with a filling. Once the filling is in place your pearly whites will receive a clean and polish. If you would like further information on the procedure feel free to call and we will be happy to help you.

Extractions:

In cases where the tooth is badly broken, un-restorable or infected, extractions can be the only option. However extractions often leave a gap and can cause loss of function or effect your personal appearance. Replacing missing tooth with a partial or full denture, bridge or implant is recommended.

What to expect when receiving an extraction:

When you make an appointment for a tooth extraction, you can feel confident knowing our qualified and trusted dentists will look after you. When you visit us for an extraction, our dentist will use a local anaesthetic to numb the area where the tooth is to be removed. The dentist will then proceed with the tooth extraction. After the tooth is removed, a gauze pad will be applied to the area.

Self-dissolving stitches may also be applied if needed. Our dentists will also advise you of the appropriate steps to take post extraction to ensure a speedy recovery.

As a tooth extraction will leave a gap in your teeth, it is also recommended to proceed with a partial or full denture, bridge or implant.
